Crash Damages Colonial Creek Bridge

Diablo, Washington- The Washington State Patrol responded  to a semi crash on East SR20 near Colonial Creek around 8:45 pm on June 10th 2016.

According to a press memo, Jaskamal Purewal, 26 of Surrey, BC was traveling Westbound on State Route 20 in a 2006 Volvo Tractor and Flatbed Trailer carrying plywood.

The vehicle was traveling downhill around milepost 130 at Colonial Creek when the driver lost control in a curve and the semi truck rolled onto its side and struck the Colonial Creek bridge, causing extensive damage.  The Driver received minor injuries and was transported to United General Hospital in Sedro Woolley.

The roadway was full blocked for nearly twelve  hours and reopened on Saturday morning around 8:30 am.

The cause of the crash is listed as speed and charges are under investigation.

The truck was impounded for safekeeping by Budget Towing.
