Three Injured in Crash on Westbound I-90

Kittitas County, Washington– The Washington State Patrol responded to a one car rollover collision on Westbound I-90, 5 miles East of Cle Elum around 10:05 pm on July 19th, 2016.

According to a press memo from the Washington State Patrol, 20-year old Laena Burnell of Arlington, Washington was traveling Westbound I-90 in black 2003 Honda Element when her vehicle left the roadway to the right. The press memo states she over corrected to the left, crossed both lanes of travel and entered the raised median where the vehicle rolled over a guard rail and came to rest on its wheels facing the wrong way.

The driver was injured and transported by medics to the Kittitas Valley Hospital.

Two passengers in the vehicle were also injured.  23-year old Tad Burnell of Arlington, Washington was injured and transported to Kittitas Valley Hospital.

A second passenger in the vehicle,  21-year old Steven Brower of Rexburg, Idaho was injured and airlifted to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle.

The press memo states all three occupants were wearing their seat belts and drugs or alcohol are not suspected in the crash.

The cause of the crash is under investigation and  charges are pending.
