The FBI team has more resources than a local police agency to track down endangered or missing children and teens. The Skagit County Sheriff’s Office and the Federal Bureau of Investigations are still calling her case an endangered missing person case and are not labeling this as an abduction. The Teens family believe she was lured from their Big Lake Cabin and possibly taken against her will from the area.
Katelyn Barlow reportedly went missing after going outside around 11:30 pm on Sunday 07/17/2016 while talking on her cell phone.
Her Uncle, Jeff O’Connor told SkagitBreaking.com that Katelyn was wearing pajama shorts, a tank top and she did not have shoes on, an indication that she wasn’t planning on being outside for very long. The weather in Washington is colder than the teen was use to in Florida.
Katelyn’s Cell phone was found on Monday over 30 miles away from the area she went missing by Washington State Patrol Troopers in the area of the Smokey Point Rest area.
The Skagit County Sheriff’s Office asks if you have seen Katelyn or if you have any information about the missing teen, you please call the Skagit County Sheriff’s Office via the Skagit County 9-1-1 non emergency line at 360-428-3211.
