Wasilla Police Arrest Sedro Woolley Man

Wasilla, Alaska- On July 13th, 2016 around 5:33 pm,  the Wasilla Alaska Police Department was dispatched to a report of a male apparently passed out in a vehicle in the Fred Meyer parking lot during the heat of the day.

On further investigation, K-9 Marshal indicated to the presence of the odor of illegal drugs emitting from the vehicle.

The driver, Jesse Smith, 34, of Sedro Woolley, WA, a convicted felon was found to be in possession on his person of $20,990.00 in cash, a concealed semi-automatic pistol, and a small amount of heroin. Smith was arrested at that time.

Pursuant to a search warrant, an additional 11.8 ounces of Heroin with a street value of $165,000.00 were found in his vehicle. Smith was remanded and held without bail at the Mat-Su Pretrial Jail on charges of possession of heroin with the intent to distribute,  as well as misconduct Involving a Controlled Substance in the Second Degree.

The District Attorney’s charged  Smith additionally with Misconduct Involving a Weapon in the Second, Third and Fifth Degrees.
