Vancouver Man Killed in Motorcycle Crash on S. Skagit Highway

Day Creek, Washington- The Washington State Patrol responded with firefighters from the Day Creek, Clear Lake and Sedro Woolley Fire Departments to a  fatality crash on the South Skagit Highway near Morgan Hill Lane around 2:56 pm on July 24th, 2016.

According to a press memo from the Washington State Patrol, 30-year old Noel Graeme Piper of Vancouver, BC was traveling Westbound on the South Skagit Highway on a black  2013 Aprillia Tuono motorcycle near Morgan Hill Lane when he crossed the center line and struck an Eastbound 2004 Jeep Wrangler driven by a 26-year old male from  Sedro Woolley.

The press memo states Mr. Piper was pronounced dead at the scene.  Next of Kin was notified by the Skagit County Medical Examiners Office.

The driver of the Jeep  was not injured in the crash and was released at the scene as well as a passenger in the Jeep.

Both vehicles were  impounded for safe keeping by Carl’s Towing.

The cause of the crash is listed as “over the center line.”

Charges are not pending in the crash.
