Whatcom County, Washington– The Whatcom County Sheriff’s Office confirmed the identity of the body recovered from Baker Lake on Friday afternoon as that of Glen Richardson of Bellingham.

Mr. Richard was reported missing on July 14th after he failed to return from a fishing trip on Baker Lake the previous evening.

Friends of Mr. Richardson told Deputies  he left at  8:00 pm to go fishing and another  fisherman on Baker Lake reported seeing him around 8:15 pm.  That was the last time anyone saw him before his body was recovered from the Lake.

The Whatcom County Sheriff’s Office said  the 12-foot aluminum  boat that Mr. Richardson was last seen in, has not been found and the  incident remains under investigation.

On Friday, July 29th, around 1:00 pm a group boating on Baker Lake reported finding a body floating in the water about 100 feet from Shore at the North End of Baker Lake.
