Everett Man Arrested For Possession of Stolen Vehicle

Mount Vernon, Washington- The  Mount Vernon Police Department recovered a stolen 2007 Hyundai Sonata from the Safeway Parking Lot in Mount Vernon.

Around 10:10am on July 11th, 2016, Officers responded to a Lojack Notification of a stolen vehicle. Officers located the vehicle in the Safeway Parking Lot with a male asleep in the front driver’s seat of the vehicle.

Officers took the male into custody and identified him as 25-year old Brandon Ambrose of Everett.

Mr. Ambrose  had stolen the vehicle from his grandfather in Everett.  As he spoke with Officers after his arrest, he kept nodding off and Officers had to wake him up on several occasions. Mr. Ambrose grandfather told Officers he is a known meth user.

When asked by Officers if he knew where he was, Mr. Ambrose told Officers he thought he was in Arlington but wasn’t sure.

Brandon Ambrose was booked into the Skagit County Jail for investigation of Possession of a stolen vehicle. He is currently being held in lieu of $10,000 bail.
