Grays Harbor, Washington- The Grays Harbor Sheriff’s Office Spokesman say they are investigating an incident where the mother of a 4-year old child let a 35-year old acquaintance throw her 4-year old child off a 25-foot bridge for fun.
Deputies say the mother met the man earlier in the day at a popular swimming hole known as the Wynoochee Twin Bridges swimming hole on Devonshire Road near the town of Montesano, Washington.
A video of the incident was caught on a cell phone camera and shared on Facebook and YouTube by witness, Kaylub Fawley of Darrington, Washington. Mr. Fawley wrote on his Facebook Page, “This is what happens when some parents just don’t care…this is a woman me and all my friends witnessed letting a “stranger” throw her 4 1/2 year old son off the bridge yesterday into the water for fun!! He landed straight on his upper back so the The police were called and I hope this isn’t just waived by and looked over #takethekid #wefreaked #cps? And shoutout to the homies that took a stand and called them out” The video has been viewed on Facebook over 359,000 times. It shows the boy landing in the water hard, but Deputies say the boy was not injured in the incident.
Witnesses called police after the incident and the Grays Harbor Sheriff’s Office says the mother and the 35-year old man were interviewed and police were working with CPS for possible child endangerment charges against both the adults.
