Bellingham Woman Killed in Crash, Driver Flees Scene

Bellingham, Washington-  The Washington State Patrol responded to a Fatal Crash in the 500 block of Pole Road around 7:34 am on Sunday, August 28th, 2016.

According to a press memo from the Washington State Patrol,  a green 2004 Ford Explorer  was traveling Eastbound on Pole Road around 7:34 am on August 28th, 2016 when the vehicle left the roadway to the Right and landed in a ditch.

A female passenger, 32-year old Georgianna James of Bellingham was not wearing a seat belt and was ejected from the vehicle during the crash and died at the scene.   The unknown  driver of the vehicle fled the scene.

Social Media posts show she was with a male friend around 3:00 am the morning she died.

The Crash remains under investigation by the Washington State Patrol.
