UPDATE: Police Respond to Shots Fired at The Sterling Motor Inn

Burlington, Washington- Officers from the Burlington Police Department responded to the 800 block of South Burlington Boulevard  around 8:57 pm on September 16th, 2016 for reports of shots fired at The Sterling Motor Inn.

According to a press memo sent to SkagitBreaking.com by Detectives from the Burlington Police Department, Burlington Officers responded to the motel and discovered that a room at the motel  had been struck by several bullets.

The room was occupied at the time of the shooting but no one inside the room was struck.  The suspects fled the area and were not located by police after an extensive search.

Witnesses told Detectives there was more than one suspect involved in the shooting and the shooting does not appear to be random. The Incident is currently under investigation.

The Sterling Motor Inn has been on the radar of local city leaders as they try and combat the criminal behavior associated with the motel.
