Bellingham Man Arrested for Vehicular Assault

Whatcom County, WA – The Washington State Patrol responded to a vehicle versus Pedestrian hit and run crash on the Southbound I-5 Guide Meridian On Ramp just after midnight on October 21st, 2016.

According to a press memo from the Washington State Patrol, 29- year old Nathan Holk of Bellingham, was traveling Northbound on the Guide Meridian in a black 2009 Volkswagen GTI when he made a right turn at the Southbound I-5 on-ramp and struck 26-year old Chelsey Robinson of Tacoma  who was walking Southbound on the Guide Meridian, crossing the I-5 on-ramp.  Ms. Robinson  was injured and transported by medics to St. Joseph’s hospital in Bellingham.

The press memo states Mr. Holk fled the scene and was arrested for Felony Hit and Run, vehicular assault  and Driving under the influence. He was booked into the Whatcom County Jail. His vehicle was impounded to the Washington State Patrol Bullpen.
