Concrete Man Injured After Being Struck By Car on SR20

Concrete, Washington – The Washington State Patrol responded to a car versus pedestrian crash on State Route 20 near Russell Road around 5:29 pm on November 1st, 2016.

According to a press memo from the Washington State Patrol, 66-year old Elias Medez of Mount Vernon was traveling Westbound  on State Route 20 near Russell Road  in a 1983 Datsun Pickup when 22-year old Thomas Mauck of Concrete ran across State Route 20  in front of his vehicle and was struck by the Datsun Pickup.

Mr. Mauck was injured and transported to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle.

The driver of the Datsun as not injured and his vehicle was driven from the scene.

The press memo states the cause of the crash is under investigation and charges are not pending in the incident.
