Skagit County, WA- Mount Vernon Officers arrested 23-year old Enrique Manzo of Mount Vernon on charges of Robbery, Kidnapping and Assault in the October 17th, 2016 robbery outside the Chevron Mini-Mart in the 2200 block of East College Way.
According to a press release from Lieutenant Greg Booth with the Mount Vernon Police Department, a man was exiting the Chevron when he was contacted by the suspect who asked the man for a ride. The victim agreed to give the man a ride and while driving towards I-5 on College Way Mr. Manzo allegedly pulled out a handgun and demanded the victims money.

Robbery Suspect
The suspect then ordered the victim to take him to several locations in Mount Vernon before releasing him and stealing his vehicle. The stolen vehicle was later recovered in the 1800 block of East College Way.
Detectives had been following up on several leads in the case and had recently received information from the Washington State Patrol Crime Lab, identifying Enrique Manzo’s fingerprints on evidence found inside the victims vehicle. Detectives conducted a search warrant on a vehicle associated to Manzo at the time of his arrest, locating additional items of evidence linking him to the case.
Mr. Manzo is currently being held in the Skagit County Jail on charges of Robbery 1st, Kidnapping and Assault 2nd.
