Mount Vernon Officers Respond to Reports of Explosion

Mount Vernon, WA –  Officers from the Mount Vernon Police Department responded to reports of an explosion around 7:37 am in the 2200 block of Old Highway 99 South.

According to Lieutenant Chris Cammock with the Mount Vernon Police Department, someone threw a firework type of device under a vehicle and it went off.

No one was hurt or injured in the blast and the vehicle, described as a truck,  sustained minor damage.

Officers continue to investigate the incident.
