Two Children Die in Minivan Crash on Camano Island

Camano Island, WA – The Washington State Patrol responded to a crash this morning on Sunrise Boulevard on Camano Island  where Trooper Mark Francis says a toddler and infant have died.

According to a Tweet from Trooper Francis, a minivan was Northbound on Sunrise Boulevard around 8 am this morning on Camano Island when the van left the roadway and struck a tree. The van became fully involved in fire and a infant and toddler died at the scene.  An adult female driver, who has not been identified,  was airlifted from the scene to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle where her condition is unknown.

Troopers continue to investigate the scene and a  full press release on the incident is expected from the Washington State Patrol later today or tomorrow.
