Douglas County, WA – The Washington State Patrol responded to a five car, double fatality crash on Westbound State Route 28, five miles East of East Wenatchee around 8:15 am on December 19th, 2016.
According a Troopers with the Washington State Patrol, 44-year old Anne Guerrero of Quincy was traveling Westbound SR28 in a green 2002 Odyssey van when she lost control of her vehicle and it traveled into the Eastbound Lanes where it was struck by a 2009 Kenworth Semi and Trailer being driven by 35-year old Alekandr Lukyanov of Edgewood. Mr. Lukyanov was not injured in the crash.

The impact of the crash spun the Van back into the Westbound lanes where it was struck by a silver 1981 Isuzu being driven by 35-year old Glen Bright of Moses Lake, WA. The three vehicles came to rest blocking State Route 28. Mr. Bright and his passenger, 64-year old Leon Bright of Moses Lake were both injured and transported by ambulance to Confluence Health Hospital for treatment.

The Driver of the Van, Anne Guerrero was injured and transported from the scene via ambulance to Confluence Health Hospital for treatment. Two young passengers in her vehicle, 12-year old Adam Guerrero of Quincy and 14-year old Alec Guerrero of Quincy both died at the scene.

A fourth vehicle, a white 2004 Chevrolet Malibu driven by 41-year old Patricia Machado of East Wenatchee was traveling Eastbound behind the Semi Truck and attempted to avoid the crash, lost control of her vehicle and ended up in the Eastbound Ditch. She was not injured in the crash and her vehicle was driven from the scene.

A fifth vehicle, a silver 2008 Chevrolet Equinox driven by 29-year old Heather Rhoades of Ephrata was also traveling Eastbound SR28 behind the semi truck. She too attempted to avoid the crash, lost control of her vehicle and ended up in the Eastbound Ditch. She was not injured and her vehicle was driven from the scene.
The press memo states seat belts were worn by everyone involved and drugs or alcohol are not suspected in the crash.
The cause of the crash is listed as speeds to fast for conditions and charges are pending against the causing driver.
