Skagit County, WA – The Skagit County Agricultural Advisory Board (AAB) is seeking a new member.

According to a release from Linda Christensen, The Skagit County Board of Commissioners is seeking interested residents to serve a three-year term on the County’s Agricultural Advisory Board. The term begins upon approval by the Board of County Commissioners.
The vacancy is in Commissioner District three, but applicants need not reside in the district to apply. The position will remain open until filled.
The Agricultural Advisory Board meets for two hours on the second Wednesday of each month at 7 p.m., during the spring and summer months and 6 p.m. during the fall and winter months.
The AAB discusses current agriculture-related issues with specific interests in drainage, flooding, land use, agriculture economics, sustainability, and critical areas. The AAB’s role is to inform and make recommendations to the County Commissioners on these and other topics that affect agriculture in Skagit County.
