Lynnwood, WA – A Snohomish County Sheriff’s Deputy was injured in a crash after his patrol car was struck by another vehicle while he was responding to a call for help.
According to a press release from Shari Ireton, Director of Communications for the Snohomish County Sheriff’s Office, the collision was reported around 9:50 p.m. on March 20th, 2017 at the intersection of 164th Street SW and 35th Avenue West.
The Deputy was transported to a local hospital with what are believed to be non-life threatening injuries according to Ireton.
The Driver of the other vehicle, who did not report any injuries, remained on scene and was working with investigators.
The cause of the crash was being investigated by the Collision Investigation Unit.
The intersection was closed for several hours this evening.
