Vehicle Plunges Off I-5 After Hit and Run Crash

King County, WA – The Washington State Patrol responded to a serious injury crash around 4:28 a.m. on March 20th, 2017.

According to a press memo from Trooper Rick Johnson, a vehicle was observed traveling SB 1-5 North of Spokane Street in King County at a high rate of speed.

The driver of this vehicle lost control  and struck a gold Chevrolet Tahoe which ended up going over the right side barrier and plunging 30 feet into the Seattle Department of Transportation parking lot below.

The driver of the Tahoe was transported to Harborview Medical Center with serious injuries.  The causing vehicle continued southbound at a high rate of speed.  A possible description of the suspect vehicle is a dark colored four door sedan.  The driver of this vehicle is being sought for Felony Hit and Run due to the nature of the injuries.
