Rockport, WA – The public is invited to join Washington State University Extension Forestry Professor Kevin Zobrist, at Rockport State Park on Saturday April 29th, 2017 from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m for a short presentation and hike. Professor Zobrist is the author of the book Native Trees of Western Washington
Professor Zobrist will give a 30-minute presentation on tree ecology to guests and then head out into the forest for about an hour for a close-up look at the different species present.
Guest will learn how to identify trees they encounter in the wild as well as their special features, adaptations, ecological roles, and where you are likely to encounter them.
This event is Free to the public.
Rockport State Park is located at 51905 State Route 20, Rockport, Washington.
