Skagit County, WA – Skagit County Public Works has reported an emergency road closure on Bayview-Edison Road due to a sink hole type incident in the area. Crews are calling it more of a divot in the roadway than a sinkhole.
Work Crews were fixing a pipe on August 20th, 2017 between the 13000 block of Bay View Edison Road and Egbers Kalso Road. The ground settled over the pipe, causing a divot or sinkhole in the roadway. The roadway was closed around 1:00 p.m between 13593 Bay View Edison Road and Egbers Kalso Road and remains closed. It is unclear when the repairs will be finished. Please use alternate routes and detours.
