Yakima County, WA – The Washington State Patrol responded to a two vehicle crash on Westbound I-82 near milepost 70 just east of Sunnyside around 11:41 a.m. on August 22nd, 2017.
According to a press memo from the Washington State Patrol, 74-year old Margarita Gonzalez of Sunnyside was traveling Westbound on I-82 in a silver 2013 Buick Regal when she attempted to make a lane change and struck a blue 2013 Dodge Caravan being driven by 59-year old Gale Dahl of Oak Harbor, WA.
Both Drivers and a passenger, 77-year old Jesus Gonzalez of Sunnyside were injured in the crash and transported to Sunnyside Community Hospital for treatment.
The cause of the crash is listed as inattention and improper lane use by the driver of the Buick.
Drugs or alcohol are not suspected in the crash.
