According to witnesses a subject in a green Jeep Liberty struck a motorcycle and knocked it and the rider into a ditch.

The Subject then drove to the intersection of Mosier and Gripp Road  where he appeared to have  passed out at  the wheel.

When troopers arrived on scene,  the subject was still passed out. Troopers deployed Narcan on the unresponsive male subject.  When the male became responsive he immediately began fighting with Troopers.   Troopers and Sedro-Woolley Fire Crews notified dispatch they were in distress (Status 2) and needed additional police units to respond.  Officers from Sedro-Woolley and Deputies from the Skagit County Sheriff’s Office responded with additional Troopers.   Troopers ended up deploying a  Taser to take the subject into custody before he was transported to the hospital.

This is breaking news and an  ongoing and active scene at Gripp and Mosier Road. Please use alternate routes to avoid the area while Troopers conduct their investigation.
