Sedro-Woolley Man Dies in Motorcycle Crash

Sedro-Woolley, WA – The Sedro-Woolley Fire Department, Fire District 8  and the Washington State Patrol responded to a fatal motorcycle crash in the 22000 block of Prairie Road around 8:02 p.m. on August 26th, 2017.

According to a press memo from the Washington State Patrol, 28-year old Joshua Simpson of Sedro-Woolley was traveling at a high rate of speed, Westbound on Prairie Road on a Blue 2003 Yamaha YZFR1 Motorcycle when he attempted to pass another vehicle. Troopers say the motorcycle left the roadway, struck a sign and came to rest off the roadway.    Mr. Simpson died at the scene.

The cause of the crash was listed as Speed.  Mr. Simpson had a valid motorcycle endorsement and was wearing  a USDOT Compliant Helmet.

The motorcycle was impounded for safe keeping by Carl’s Towing.
