Snohomish Man Dies in Motorcycle Crash on SR2

Snohomish County, WA – The Washington State Patrol responded to a fatal motorcycle crash on Eastbound SR2, two miles West of Snohomish around 10:24 a.m. on August 26th, 2017.

According to a press memo from the Washington State Patrol, 69-year old Richard Lopez of Snohomish was traveling Eastbound on State Route 2 near Milepost 27 on a black 2000 Yamaha Motorcycle. Troopers say the brakes on his motorcycle locked up and he lost control of the bike and came to rest in the Eastbound Lanes.

Mr. Lopez died as a result of his injuries.  He was wearing a USDOT compliant helmet and had a valid motorcycle endorsement.

The motorcycle was impounded for safe keeping by Mack’s Towing.
