Two Juvenile Males Arrested for Fire in Freeland

Island County, WA – The Island County Sheriff’s Office has arrested two juveniles in connection to the August 23rd, 2017 fire in the 5000 block of Honeymoon Bay Road in Freeland.

According to a press release from the Island County Sheriff’s Office, two 15-year old Juvenile males were arrested. One of the suspects lives in the area of the fire.  Both Suspects have admitted to investigators their involvement in the fires.

Both Juveniles were booked into the Island County Juvenile Detention Center and later released to their parents. Official charges have not been filed against the two, so the Island County Sheriff’s Office has not released their names.

This is still an active investigation and Detectives will release additional information as it become available.
