Bicyclist Hit by Car in Snohomish County

Snohomish County, WA – The Washington State Patrol responded to a collision involving a bicycle and vehicle on Westbound 204, 1 mile West of Lake Stevens around 2:31 p.m. on September 23rd, 2017.

According to a press memo from the Washington State Patrol, 18-year old Ashley Cowman of Redmond was traveling Westbound on State Route 204 in a red 2004 Ford Expedition when a bicycle being rode by 38-year old Wesley Davidson of Marysville cut in front of her vehicle.   COWMAN served into oncoming traffic in an attempt to avoid the bicyclist but was unsuccessful.

Mr. Davidson was injured and transported to Providence Medical Center for treatment.

COWMAN’s vehicle received reportable damage and was driven from the scene.

The cause of the crash was listed as inattention on the part of the bicyclist.

No charges are expected.
