Superload Moves Happening Now in Anacortes

Anacortes, WA– Andeavor started its first of nine “superload”  moves from the Port of Anacortes to March Point early this morning.

As part of the Clean Products Upgrade Project, the new modules will enable the refinery to further reduce the sulfur content of its transportation fuels and meet the new Federal Tier 3 standards to reduce emissions.

The modules were off-loaded at the Port and transported to a staging area at Highway 20 and “R’ Avenue between October 2nd and October 5th.

Drivers should note the affected road sections listed below  that will be closed nightly  between midnight and 5 a.m.  from October 6th until October 15th.
