BREAKING NEWS: Driver Eludes Troopers on SR20 in Skagit County


Skagit County, WA – A driver fled from Washington State Patrol Troopers around 1:00 a.m. this morning in a vehicle and led Troopers on a High Speed chase down State Route 20.

A witness caught Cell Phone Video of the end of the chase below, where multiple Law Enforcement units can be seen around a vehicle.

The unidentified driver was traveling at speeds in excess of 90 miles per hour Eastbound in the Westbound Lanes of State Route 20, narrowly missing a head on collision with at least one vehicle.

Troopers from the Washington State Patrol, Officers from the Burlington Police Department and Deputies from the Skagit County Sheriff’s Office responded to assist in containment when the driver turned off of State Route 20 and pulled  into the Aerial Apartments.  The driver allegedly ditched the vehicle he was in and fled on Foot from Troopers.

A K-9 was brought in to assist in the search for the unknown driver.

This is a developing incident and Law Enforcement are actively tracking the subject as of 1:45 a.m. on December 8th, 2017.
