Stanwood Police Blotter

Stanwood, WA – The information below was provided by the Stanwood Police Department. It is a partial list of calls for service they responded to between January 4th, 2018 and January 11th, 2018.

SCHOOL INTIMIDATION: A 15-year old Male from Stanwood was arrested for assault 3rd, Harassment and School Intimidation in the 7600 block of 272nd Street Northwest in Stanwood.

According to a press memo from the Stanwood Police Department, on January 4th, 2018 the teen  student became uncooperative with School Officials, knocked over a chair and threw an item at a school security Officer.

ELUDING: A 17-year old Stanwood Teen was arrested on January 4th, 2018 for attempting to elude Police Officers in the 26700 block of 72nd Avenue Northwest. A Stanwood Police Officer  Recognized the teen as he was driving a motorcycle and knew he did not have a valid driver’s license. The Officer attempted to stop the teen and he took off on the motorcycle.  Officers went to the teens house and arrested him for attempted eluding.

SHOPLIFTING: A 30-year old Arlington Man was arrested in the 9900 block of 271st Street Northwest for Possession of Heroin, Possession of Methamphetamine and outstanding warrants. Police had been called to a business on January 4th, 2018  for a suspicious person that was possibly shoplifting.

DOMESTIC VIOLENCE: A 21-year old Stanwood woman was arrested on January 6th, 2018 for Assault 4, domestic violence after an altercation with her boyfriend in the 29600 block of 80th Avenue Northwest.

STOLEN VEHICLE: Two 26-year old males were arrested for Theft of  a Motor Vehicle, Possession of Methamphetamine and outstanding Warrants on January 7th, 2018. According to Stanwood Police, a community “Dial a Ride” transport bus had been reported  stolen  from the 26800 block of 88th Avenue Northwest. A witness saw the men in the bus as it was leaving the area and notified police. Officers were able to stop and arrest the men. One man was from Arlington and the other from Camano Island.

MINOR IN POSSESSION: A 14-year old Stanwood teen was transported to the hospital from the 7600 block of 272nd Street Northwest on January 8th, 2018.  The teen was found to be under the influence of alcohol at school. Her impairment and comments were such that she required being transported to the Emergency Room before she was  referred to court for Minor in Possession/Consumption of Alcohol.

RACING: A 16-year old Camano Island Teen was referred for Racing (Reckless Driving) after he was observed by Officers traveling 60 miles per hour in a 35 mile per hour zone.
