Whatcom County, WA – The Washington State Patrol responded to a collision on Westbound State Route 542 around 2:06 a.m. on January 21st, 2018.
According to a press memo from the Washington State Patrol, 24-year old Chelsea Dollar of Maple Falls was traveling Westbound on State Route 542 in a gray 2014 Subaru Forrester when she failed to negotiate a curve and struck a tree. Her vehicle came to rest facing Northbound in the roadway.
Troopers say DOLLAR was wearing a seat belt but was injured and transported to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle.
The cause of the crash is under investigation. Charges of Driving Under the Influence are pending against DOLLAR.
The Vehicle was impounded for safe keeping to BJS Towing.
