Astoria, Ore- A Coast Guard MH-60 Jayhawk helicopter crew from Sector Columbia River rescued 3 men after they were left stranded by the rising tide at Indian Beach on Wednesday, Jan. 17, 2018.
The aircrew safely lifted the 3 men aboard the helicopter and transferred them to the Canon Beach Fire Department personnel waiting on shore.
A request for assistance was made to the Seaside 911 dispatchers at 12:20 p.m. after the 3 men, who had been fishing in the tide pools, had been stranded because of the high tide.
At the time of rescue there were no reported injuries.
