Bellingham, WA – Troopers with the Washington State Patrol are seeking information on a Hit and Run Collision that happened on Southbound I-5, just South of the Samish Way Exit in Bellingham around 9:37 p.m. on January 31st, 2018.
According to a press release from Trooper Heather Axtman, Troopers responded to a 9-1-1 call about a pedestrian walking in the roadway on Southbound I-5 near Samish Way in Bellingham.
Shortly after arriving on scene, Troopers located a male pedestrian laying on the right side of the roadway. The Pedestrian, later identified as 23-year old Lucan Brazier of Woodinville, was transported by aid to St. Josephs Hospital in Bellingham before being transported to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle with serious injuries.
Troopers and Detectives recovered evidence at the scene that the fleeing vehicle left behind. Based on the evidence, Troopers are now attempting to locate a green 1991-1996 Ford Escort or a 1991-1996 Mercury Tracer with damage to the front passengers side headlight area and the passenger side windshield.
