King County, WA – The Washington State Patrol responded to a 9-1-1 call around 6:12 a.m. on April 18th, 2018 from an individual stating he had just been shot while driving his car Northbound on I-5 in the area of Michigan Street in King County. The Subject told dispatchers he had received a gunshot wound to his leg and was driving himself to Harborview Medical Center.
Trooper Webb along with Detectives arrived at Harborview Medical Center to speak with the victim. During the investigation the victim stated this incident started somewhere in the area of Northbound I-5 near the Boeing Access exit when another passenger vehicle cut in front of him and slammed on the brakes. The continued until just before the Michigan Street area when the suspect vehicle pulled to the left of the victim vehicle, rolled down the passenger window and fired two shots into his vehicle, one of which struck him in the left leg. The suspect vehicle then exited to Michigan Street and the victim continued Northbound I-5 and drove to Harborview.
The victim described the suspect vehicle as a dark gray or teal Toyota passenger vehicle with two Seahawk Stickers on the side of the vehicle. The description of the driver was a black male wearing a black jacket and a beanie cap. The victim vehicle is a purple Honda Accord, shown below.
