Joe Lindquist Announces Candidacy for Skagit County PUD Commissioner

Mount Vernon, WA – Three-term Mount Vernon City Council Member and former Planning Commission Member Joe Lindquist announced Friday, April 27th his candidacy for the position of Skagit County PUD Commissioner representing District 2 which encompasses the areas of Mount Vernon, Conway and Big Lake.

Currently Lindquist is the longest-serving member on the Mount Vernon City Council. He is a graduate of Mount Vernon High School and Western Washington University and works as a Financial Advisor for Baird in Mount Vernon.

“My education and experience in business and more than 15 years in municipal government are much-needed attributes on this board at this point in time. As a strong proponent of open government and transparency, I want to ensure safe, efficient and effective water distribution for the Skagit County PUD users while balancing the needs of our agricultural community,” Lindquist said.

“My strong working relationship with city staff, fellow council members, and the community at large will serve the rate payers of the utility and the citizens of Skagit County well for the next term” said Lindquist.
