Madison Student Council Helps Those in Need

Mount Vernon, WA- The Madison Wildcats Student Council completed their community project of making “We Care” bags for those in need in Skagit County.

These 4th and 5th grade students from Madison School sent letters to the community, purchased items for the kits, and assembled the “we care” bags.

The bags were then picked up by a  group from the Veterans of Skagit Valley College who delivered them to Skagit Community Action in Mount Vernon.  One student even assisted with passing them out to the Homeless in our community.

Madison PTO wrote on their Facebook Page “It takes a special kind of people who will work to give a hand up to others.

A Huge Thank you to those of you who opened your wallets, cleaned out your bathroom of hygiene products, and spent so much time and effort to make this possible. You have two hands. One to help yourself, the second to help others.
