According to a news release from the National Park Service, Park rangers and a team from the Whatcom County Sheriff’s Office are searching for a missing man in the North Cascades.
Cornelius “Casey” Zippro, 31, is described as being about 5’9″ tall and weighing approximately 190 pounds. He is believed to have been wearing a light green jacket, denim jeans, a black and white ball cap, and a light gray shirt.
Casey was last seen at the Colonial Creek Campground, site number three, on Saturday (June 16, 2018), with an unknown direction of travel. He was reported missing to the National Park Service Rangers on Sunday afternoon at about 1:00 PM.
National Park Service (NPR) rangers and a county search dog did search the Colonial Creek campground area on Sunday. The search continued on Monday, with about 23 personnel and the National Park Service helicopter.
