Skagit County, WA – The Washington State Patrol responded to a two vehicle crash in the 27000 block of State Route 20 just after noon on June 30th, 2018.
SR20 Crash 6/30/18
According to a press memo from the Washington State Patrol, 62-year old Anita Thewes of Sedro-Woolley was parked on the Eastbound shoulder of State Route 20, just East of Sims road in a blue 2011 Toyota Prius. Troopers say she drove across the Eastbound Lane into the Westbound Lane and struck a Westbound Chrome colored 2002 Dodge Ram Pickup being driven by 53-year old Dennis Hendrickson of Concrete. Thewes was injured and transported to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle. Hendrickson was transported to United General Hospital in Sedro-Woolley.

Both vehicles were totaled in the crash. Troopers believe Thewes was driving under the influence of drugs or alcohol at the time of the crash. They also say she was not wearing a seat belt.
Both Vehicles were impounded for safe keeping by Carl’s Towing.
