Sequim Man Injured in Crash on SR2 in Snohomish County

Motorcycle Crash

Snohomish County, WA – The Washington State Patrol responded to a two-vehicle crash on Eastbound State 2 near 387th Avenue SE in the City of Goldbar around 3:10 p.m. on August 12th, 2018.

According to a press memo from the Washington State Patrol, 27-year old Trevor Holmgren of Bellingham was traveling Eastbound on State Route two in a Silver 2003 Audi A4 when he slowed for traffic ahead of him.

Troopers say 78-year old Paul Peterson of Sequim was following behind HOLMGREN on a 2014 Harley Davidson XL1200 when he failed to slow down for traffic and rear-ended the Audi.  Mr. Peterson was injured and transported to Providence Hospital for treatment.

Holmgren and his passenger, 24-year old Jessica Harrigan of Scottsdale, Arizona were not injured in the crash.

The Harley was impounded by Dick’s Towing for safe keeping.

The cause of the crash was listed as “Following Too Close”.

Troopers say Drugs or alcohol were not a factor in the crash and PETERSON was wearing a USDOT compliant helmet and had a valid motorcycle operators license.
