Mount Vernon, WA – On Friday, October 26th, at approximately 7:00 a.m., Mount Vernon Police Officers and members of the Skagit County Interlocal Drug Enforcement Unit (SCIDEU), served a search warrant in the 2500 block of North Laventure Road for an ongoing drug investigation.
According to a press release from Mount Vernon Police Sergeant Mike Don, during the service of the search warrant, the suspect, a 19-year old Mount Vernon man, refused to cooperate with Officers.
Officers closed North Laventure Road between Hoag Road and Sandalwood Streets during the short standoff. Officers eventually coaxed the suspect into surrendering.
No one was injured in this incident and the roadway was opened to normal traffic once the suspect was safely in custody.
