BURLINGTON, WA – Live reindeer on TWO days, wagon rides, Enchanting Events characters, inflatable bouncers, Lang’s Horse & Pony Farm trolley rides, street curling, indoor activities, outdoor activities… the Children’s Museum of Skagit County is bringing it all back for the third year, but this year the event moves to the future home of the Museum at The Outlet Shoppes at Burlington!

The event is free and runs Friday, December 7 through Sunday, December 9th, 2018. Families from all over the Pacific Northwest can spend the day, or the weekend, playing indoors and outdoors at this multi-age event. Thanks to the support of the City of Burlington’s Lodging Tax Grant and a myriad of sponsors, families can learn and play for FREE. Volunteers are also a critical part of putting on the event and can sign up for shifts at http://signup.com/go/mNYywcm.

“We are very excited to be bringing Winter Wonderland to our future home at The Outlet Shoppes at Burlington” said Cate Anderson, Executive Director of the Children’s Museum of Skagit County. “We bring back favorite activities and attractions but also add something new, like a movie night on Friday, TWO days of live reindeer, the Wipeout Big Baller and a mini-train ride. And of course, holding it at the Outlets gives everyone a chance to see how progress is going on our new Museum space! Now we are just hoping for snow at the Mt Baker Ski Area so that we can truck snow in to this event! Snow Dance, everyone!!”

Though admission to the event is free, each participant will need to register daily for a new wristband. This helps the Museum track attendee and visitor data and more importantly to plan for the next year! Participants of all ages are welcome and encouraged to play and interact! For a full schedule see SkagitChildrensMuseum.net or join the Facebook event for regular updates and to see a full schedule. Below are the times for each day and a sampling of featured activities:
