Skagit County, WA; (May 29)– Skagit Animals in Need (SAIN) hosts its annual Tack Sale and Raffle fundraiser on Saturday and Sunday, June 1 and 2 at the Sedro-Woolley Rodeo Grounds. This 10th annual event features outstanding deals on gently-used tack and is the major fundraiser supporting the work of this all-volunteer organization.
The tack sale will feature a wide variety of tack and accessories including saddles, blankets, pads, bridles and much, much more! Saturday sale hours are 8am until 4pm and Sunday sale hours are 10am until 2pm.
In addition to the tack sale, you can meet the SAIN foster horses, and purchase tickets for raffle of goods and services donated by popular local businesses and supporters. Raffle items include gift certificates, animal care services, spa and beauty packages, handyman services and jewelry. Tickets can be purchased at the tack sale or in advance from any board member.
There will also be a veterinarian from Mount Vernon Veterinarian Hospital on site with education about the care of horses and Chuckanut Valley Veterinary Clinic staff will be on site with education about the care of goats, sheep, llamas, and alpacas.
Tack donations and purchases support the all-volunteer work of SAIN. Currently, SAIN has three horses in foster care that have graduated from rehab and are available for adoption, as well as six horses in rehab. SAIN supports Animal Control and Law Enforcement in preventing animal cruelty through outreach, education, and advocacy programs, and by facilitating the fostering, rehabilitation, and rehoming of animals in need. Many of the animals that SAIN helps have been abused or neglected.
