Marysville, WA – Marysville Police say a single-engine plane crashed around 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, August 14th, 2019 in a field along 152nd Street NE and 51st Avenue NE, about two-miles from the Arlington Municipal Airport.
Authorities say the pilot was the single occupant of the plane and he was killed in the crash. The pilot was identified by the Snohomish County Medical Examiners Office as 64-year old Gregory R. Capes of Lake Stevens, Washington. The Cause of Death is Blunt Force Trauma and the Manner of Death was ruled an accident.
The National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) is investigating the crash. The NTSB said the plane is an Experimental amateur-built, Murphy Moose aircraft. A full report on the crash could take six months to complete.
