Massive Police Response Overnight to Reported Armed Robbery

Skagit County, WA – The Skagit County Sheriff’s Office in Conjunction with multiple local police agencies responded to a 9-1-1 call around 1:30 a.m. for reports of an armed robbery in the 9400 block of Old Highway 99 North outside the Jack In The Box Restaurant.

According to online Police Scanner Audio  Archives from Broadcastify.com, a reporting party called 9-1-1 and reported that five males pointed guns at him and demanded items before they ran behind the Fairfield Inn Hotel on foot.

An additional caller around 1:38 a.m. stated that a male had pointed a gun at another male in the parking lot and ran into the lobby of the hotel and went into a bathroom.

Officers and Detectives responded from the Skagit County Sheriff’s Office, Washington State Patrol, Sedro-Woolley Police Department, Mount Vernon Police Department, Burlington Police Department as well as Tribal  Units.

A K-9 from the Mount Vernon Police Department as well as a “Omaha” a Helicopter from the United States Border Patrol was requested by units on scene to assist in the search for the suspects.

The suspects were described as being five Hispanic Males, one wearing a black Champion Sweatshirt, One wearing a light blue Champion Sweatshirt and one wearing a Hilfiger hooded Sweatshirt. Additional suspect information wasn’t immediately available.

Swinomish Police  also sent a “drone team” to assist with the search.
