Mount Vernon, WA– On August 19th, 2019 at around 2:15 p.m., Mount Vernon Police Patrol Officers saw a subject wanted by the Skagit County Sheriff’s Office for a Robbery that occurred over the weekend.
The suspect was standing in the front yard of a residence in the 1300 block of North 18th Street in Mount Vernon. Before Officers could contact the suspect, he re-entered the residence he had been standing in front of.
According to a press release from Mount Vernon Police Detective Sergeant Mike Don, due to safety concerns, a large, visible police presence was in the area for a short period of time until the individual voluntarily exited the residence. The suspect was safely taken into custody without incident. The suspect was then turned over to Detectives with the Skagit County Sheriff’s Office.
