Burlington, WA – The Washington State Patrol responded to a vehicle verses pedestrian collision on State Route 20 near North Skagit Street around 5:02 p.m. on December 15th, 2019.
According to a press memo from the Washington State Patrol, 32-year old Christian Nelson of Burlington was traveling Westbound on State Route 20 in a black 2004 Chevy Suburban when he struck 73-year old Charolette Hoffman of Burlington as she was attempting to cross State Route 20 on foot. Hoffman was seriously injured and transported to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle for treatment. Her condition remains unknown.
Troopers say Nelson was not injured in the crash. The cause of the crash is listed as “Jaywalking.”
