Skagit Habitat for Humanity is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. EIN 91-1628529. Donations are tax-deductible. In 1994 local citizens formed Skagit Habitat for Humanity as the result of a critical need for affordable housing in Skagit County. In 2015, Skagit Habitat celebrated with our first partner family and homebuyer as they completed paying off their Habitat Home. Today, we’ve built 37 homes and impacted over 80 families in our community. We believe in empowering people to empower themselves through our mission: putting God’s love into action, Skagit Habitat for Humanity brings people together to build homes, community, and hope. With our help, Habitat Homeowners achieve the strength, stability, and independence they need to build a better life for themselves and their families. Skagit Habitat for Humanity is pledged to the letter and spirit of the US Policy for the achievement of equal housing opportunity throughout the nation. We encourage and support an affirmative advertising and marketing program in which there are no barriers to obtaining housing because of race, color, religion, sex, handicap, familial status or national origin.
