Two Pedestrians Killed By Hit and Run Driver in Snohomish County

Snohomish County, WA – Two Pedestrians are dead after a hit and run driver ran them over and fled the scene of the accident on State Route 524 near Nellis Road in Snohomish County.

According to a press memo from the Washington State Patrol, around 10:20 a.m. this morning, 27-year old Alec Gajdos of Bothell was traveling Westbound on State Route 524 in a silver 2018 Chevy Malibu when he struck two pedestrians, killing both of them.   Troopers say Gajdos stopped briefly on the shoulder and then took off Westbound on State Route 524.

The vehicle was later impounded as evidence and the driver was taken into custody.  The name of the male and female pedestrians were not released pending official notification of Next of Kin.

The cause of the crash and possible charges remain under investigation.
