Skagit County, WA – The Washington State Patrol responded to a single vehicle rollover crash on Concrete Sauk-Valley Road around 8:01 p.m. on June 26th, 2021.
According to a press memo from the Washington State Patrol, a 24-year old woman from Darrington was traveling Northbound on Concrete Sauk Valley Road, about half a mile south of the paved portion, in a 2001 Chevy Tahoe. Troopers say as the woman was approaching the Sauk River Bridge, she lost control of her vehicle in a curve, over corrected to the left, struck a dirt berm and rolled the vehicle. Troopers say the woman was not wearing a seat belt and died at the scene. Her name has not been released.
A passenger in her vehicle, identified by Troopers as 31-year old Autumn C. Baer of Darrington was injured in the crash but refused treatment and was not transported to a local hospital. Troopers say she was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash.
The vehicle was totaled and towed by Peter’s Towing. Troopers say the cause of the crash was excessive speed.
