Two Injured when Motorcycle Hits Vehicle While Attempting to Pass a Truck

Whatcom County, WA- The Washington State patrol responded to a two-vehicle crash involving a motorcycle and a Toyota 4Runner around 2:12 p.m. on July 9th, 2022.

According to a press memo from the Washington State Patrol, 37-year-old Patrick Hafner of Sarasota, Florida was traveling Northbound on State Route 547 on a 2015 Yamaha Motorcycle. Troopers say he crossed over into the Southbound lanes and attempted to pass a truck hauling a boat.  Troopers say at the same time Hafner was attempting to pass the truck, 55-year old Marcus Dubrow of Deming, was attempting to pull out of a driveway in a 2021 Toyota 4Runner and head Southbound on State Route 547. Hafner’s motorcycle collided with the 4Runner, ejecting him and a 42-year-old passenger from the motorcycle. The motorcycle left the roadway and traveled down an embankment. Hafner and his passenger, identified by Troopers as 42-year old Aimeelee Sedgwick of Maple Falls, WA, were both injured and transported to St. Joseph’s Hospital in Bellingham.

 

Both Vehicles were totaled in the crash.
